Save The Humans

So CNN ousted Arron Brown. The New York Times referred to him as “Longtime CNN Anchor.” He was there four years. Well, I guess if you last at CNN for four years, these days its considered a “Long Time.”

Driving home recently from my wife’s families lake house in the Georgia Mountains I spot a car in front of me. It was one of those Prius’s, the hybrid car that gets like sixty miles to a gallon. What caught my eye was the bumper sticker, “Save The Human’s.” I mention to my wife, “Who would put that on their car and what the heck does it mean?” As we pass the car Lisa looks over and says “It’s Ted.” Sure enough it was my old boss and hero Ted Turner. I still don’t know what “Save The Humans” means.

I had a friend back in the eighties who wanted to print up “Honk If you’re as Drunk As I Am” bumper stickers. We finally agreed that wouldn’t be a good idea.

The creator of “This Is Your Life” Ralph Edwards died Today. I used to see him eating lunch everyday at Muso & Franks in Hollywood. Hollywood’s oldest bar and grill established in 1919. Ralph was older.

Miss Hawaiian Tropic & Ramblings

Back from another trip to judge the Miss Hawaiian Tropic contest on the North Shore of Honolulu. Thought you might like to get a peak at some of the contestants as seen through my camera.

By the way you are never too old to do a beer bong, especially when a beautiful blonde administers it.

Recently we had dinner with our friends Dick Morris and his Wife Eileen McGann. They were in town to promote their latest “Condi vs. Hillary. Their publisher came up with a neat promotion that cost the same as airfare and hotels. Regan Books rented country star Toby Keith’s tour bus. Now that’s the way to travel. Beats having to go through airport security all over the place and when you have to take your shoes off it are just to kick back and relax. What was the old Greyhound slogan, “Leave the driving to us.”?

I told Dick that we now have one entire shelf for his books. It seems he cranks one out about every six months. Have you noticed I have said nothing political. This keeps my nickname of Mr. Wishy Washy in tact.

Hey, are you getting bored? Here’s another Hawaiian Tropic girl.

See if you can clear up this mystery. On the Beverly Hillbillies, Bea Benaderet played Pearl Bodine, Jethro’s motherbevhillb209.gif
When CBS started cross-promoting “Petticoat Junction” the characters of that show would appear on the “Hillbillies.” Now when “Petticoat Junction” began as a series on it’s own Bea Benaderet played the mother of the three beautiful sisters. katebradley.jpg She suddenly became Kate Bradley. What ever happened to Pearl and why didn’t Jethro ever recognize Kate as his mother Pearl. Oh! The things you think about when you don’t have a job.

Halloween has come and gone and here is my wife Lisa in her costume.lisafrenchmaid.jpg If she checks this website and sees this picture I’m in big trouble.
That's our dog Penny in the bottom of the photo. She always has to get in the act. Actually that is our cat dressed up as our dog. It was Halloween.
